ABC della VITAMINA C
La Vitamina C è una di quelle sostanze spesso sottovalutate per la loro efficacia.
E’ uno degli ingredienti più utilizzati nei cosmetici, sia come componente sinergico, che in forma pura.
Svolge un’azione antiossidante e lenitiva, risultando uno dei principi attivi fondamentali per contrastare gli effetti infiammatori dei raggi solari.
La Vitamina C aiuta la produzione del collagene, proteina che è alla base del sostegno dermico.
Le due forme più utilizzate di Vitamina C sono quella naturale “Ascorbic Acid” molecola idrosolubile e quella esterificata “Ascorbyl Palmitate” molecola liposolubile.
In versione Ascorbic Acid, la troviamo quasi sempre liofilizzata, ben protetta dal tappo sigillato dei prodotti monodose.
Al momento del suo utilizzo, premendo il tappo, tutto il contenuto liofilizzato viene miscelato con la sostanza liquida.
La sua attivazione è immediata, ma deve essere usato entro poche ore, a causa della poca conservabilità dell’Acido Ascorbico.
Il problema principale della Vitamina C pura è quello dell’irrancidimento e questo porterebbe a formulare cosmetici con alte percentuali di conservanti, per tale motivo la scelta è stata quella di liofilizzarla.
I benefici della Vitamina C pura sulla pelle sono quelli di dare un’immediata luminosità al tessuto, migliorando le discromie e apportando ossigenazione.
In forma esterificata “l’unione di un acido in questo caso l’Ascorbico con un acido grasso derivante da un olio”, la Vitamina C risulta stabile e può essere utilizzata al meglio in tutti i cosmetici.
Sotto la forma esterificata la Vitamina C svolge al meglio la sua azione protettiva, lenitiva, antiossidante.
Avendo una struttura liposolubile, viene facilmente assorbita dalla pelle e risulta efficace a livello di membrana cellulare, contrastando l’azione ossidante dei radicali liberi.
La Vitamina C risulta ingrediente prezioso per la sua capacità di legarsi in sinergia a altre sostanze funzionali, come le Vitamine A, E.
E’una di quelle sostanze che possono vantare a pieno titolo il termine di Cosmeceutiche, essendo utilizzate nelle preparazioni farmaceutiche e cosmetiche.
E’ benefica su tutte le pelli, ma si esprime al meglio sulle rughe dovute a esposizione solare, nei casi di pelli a cui manca turgore e su quelle infiammate
