I Cosmetici Sono Sicuri?
Ogni ingrediente contenuto in un cosmetico deve far parte di quelli ammessi dalla legge 1223/2009.
Sono tutte sostanze ritenute sicure per la nostra salute, che devono essere riportate sulle confezioni dei prodotti in ordine decrescente.
Per limitare il rischio di allergie, 26 profumazioni vanno obbligatoriamente indicate nella formulazione.
Avrete notato come in molti cartelloni pubblicitari più che mettere in risalto cosa contenga il prodotto, siano presenti i NO parabeni, sles, peg, paraffine, petrolati, siliconi ecc ecc.
Fatte queste premesse, come mai da anni assistiamo a una gara tra aziende, per evidenziare le tante sostanze che nei loro prodotti non sono presenti?
La risposta va ricercata tra motivi a volte di marketing a volte etici, quasi mai per rischi legati alla salute.
Il marketing segue le mode, le paure e le richieste del mercato, per cui se “fa figo” un prodotto senza alcune sostanze, lo rimbalzerà in tutte le campagne pubblicitarie.
L’etica è la stella polare di quei produttori di cosmesi naturale, che giustamente non utilizzano ingredienti di derivazione petrolifera, polimeri siliconici, conservanti troppo aggressivi, che possono inquinare l’ambiente.
Non ci sono particolari rischi per la salute, semmai eventuali problematiche dipendono da un uso non idoneo dei cosmetici su alcune tipologie di pelle.
È vero che alcune sostanze tipo i filtri solari come l’Ossido di Titanio nano-tecnologico, alcuni Cinnamati, l’Avobenzone, conservanti come i Parabeni sono monitorate per la possibilità di essere degli interferenti endocrini, ma le risultanze degli ultimi studi scientifici, avrebbero escluso tale effetto collaterale.
Per cui:
- I cosmetici sono prodotti sicuri
- Ogni cosmetico deve essere registrato nel portale europeo CPNP
- Le sostanze contenute devono rispondere ai requisiti della legge 1223/2009
- Vanno preferiti gli ingredienti vegetali, perché dermoaffini
- I derivati del petrolio come Vaseline e Paraffine hanno effetto occlusivo e vanno a squilibrare il mantello idro-lipidico
- I siliconi in concentrazione max del 2% sono tollerati dalla pelle
- Derivati del petrolio e siliconi inquinano l’ambiente
- I conservanti sono indispensabili in un cosmetico
- Parabeni, Kathon, Fenossietanolo possono dare origine a sensibilizzazioni della pelle
- Preferire i filtri solari naturali, come Ossido di Zinco, Biossido di Titanio non in forma nano-tecnologica, Melone, Olio di Germe di Grano, Olio di Lampone Rosso
