Non esiste una legge che definisca come debba essere formulato un cosmetico naturale.
Per orientarci nella scelta di un buon prodotto dobbiamo affidarci a quanto riportato nell’etichetta Inci, nella quale ogni sostanza viene indicata in ordine decrescente in base alla loro concentrazione.
Ogni componente naturale che non abbia subito trasformazioni in laboratorio sarà indicato con il suo nome botanico in latino
Esistono degli Enti privati come gli italiani Icea e Ccpb, che si occupano delle certificazioni dei Cosmetici Naturali, Bio, Organici.
Queste certificazioni garantiscono
- l’origine delle singole sostanze funzionali
- le tecniche di lavorazione
- l’assenza di sostanze chimiche dannose
- test dermatologici e microbiologici
- ingredienti puri e dermocompatibili
Cosmetici Bio
Un cosmetico per essere definito Naturale 100%, deve contenere ingredienti di origine vegetale e nessun componente di sintesi.
Per essere certificato Bio deve contenere almeno il 95% di sostanze da agricoltura biologica, lavorati con metodologie non inquinanti
Quando la concentrazione arriva al 98% di sostanze naturali Biologiche, il cosmetico viene definito “Organico”
